hospital waiting lists
One of my cycling mates has been waiting for an hernia operation, his Dr phoned him this week and asked " would you object to having it done private ?" So my mate asked, " what would it cost " the Dr said " nothing but its done at a private hospital and the NHS pays and you get it done quicker to reduce the waiting list" So my mate went in yesterday and wush bang, its done and he's home recovering, So don't despair, ask your doctor if you may be entitled to this service,,

Didn't Tony Blair say "service needs radical reform, including pointing patients to private healthcare offers"?
Blair advocated for a concordat between the NHS and the private sector. He believed that embracing technology and leveraging private healthcare providers could help reduce waiting times and improve patient care.
